More Thanksgiving Traditions and Activities for the Family

November 22nd, 2009

Yesterday I posted a tradition that one of our readers shared with me.  Here’s another one:

Gifts of Thanks
At the last Thanksgiving that I hosted, I did some similar “activities”.  The table was decorated of course with Thanksgiving confetti, “fabric leaves” from the art store, chocolate shaped candy, other Thanksgiving items, and at each place setting, I had a small gift bag that had each recipients name on it(found these at a card store), inside each were a few small trinkets, Lindt chocolate wrapped in matching fall colors,  and shredded tissue paper.

I had also searched the internet about Thanksgiving and thoughtful sayings/holiday significance and I printed one for each person and placed that along side their personalized gift bag.  We each took turns reading our quote or saying, and adding any personal thoughts.  I had also done a search on Thanksgiving games and created a Thanksgiving Trivia game – we couldn’t eat until we played.  It was so much fun and everyone was involved in the process.
